When and where will the Senate elections 2024 take place at HafenCity University 澳门现金网_澳门赌博现金网-官网?
The employees of HafenCity University will vote on Tuesday, 2 December and Wednesday, 4 December 2024.
HafenCity University students will vote from Monday, 2 December to Thursday, 5 December 2024.
Voting is possible from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room E.007 on the ground floor on those dates.

Who can vote and be elected in the Senate elections?
Anyone who is a member of the university within the meaning of Section 8 (1) HmbHG and belongs to a status group in accordance with Section 10 (1) No. 1 HmbHG is eligible to vote and be elected to the University Senate.
Persons who belong to more than one of the groups may only vote and be elected in one group. They may declare in writing in which group they wish to vote or be elected. The declaration cannot be revoked for the respective election. If no declaration is submitted, the election management determines the affiliation according to the first group in question in the order according to § 1 paragraph 1 numbers 1 to 4 WahlO Hochschulsenat HCU.

What is the University Senate?
The University Senate is involved in important decisions: Among other things, it adopts HCU statutes, elects the President, confirms the Vice Presidents and, in agreement with the University Council, adopts the HCU's structure and development plan. The duties of the University Senate are regulated in Section 85 (1) HmbHG.
The University Senate of HafenCity University 澳门现金网_澳门赌博现金网-官网 is composed of six professors, two members of the academic staff, two students and one member of the technical, library and administrative staff (TVP). The members of the Presidential Board are advisory members of the University Senate without voting rights. The President chairs the Senate.

Who will be elected in the 2024 Senate elections?
The following Senate members will be elected this year:
- 6 members of the ‘Professors’ group (3 women and 3 men, 2-year term of office),
- 2 members of the ‘Academic Staff’ group (one woman and one man each, 2-year term of office)
- 2 members of the ‘Students’ group (one woman and one man each, 1-year term of office),
- 1 member of the ‘Technical, Library and Administrative Staff (TVP)’ group (2-year term of office).

How can I be nominated as a candidate?
Nominations can be made by the eligible voters themselves - you can nominate yourself or another member of your status group.
Nominations must be sent to the election management (Attn: Michael Richter, Henning-Voscherau-Platz 1, 20457 澳门现金网_澳门赌博现金网-官网) by no later than 13 November 2024, 12 noon, by email?(wahlleitung(at)hcu-hamburg.de) or by post. The receipt of the proposals by the election management is decisive for meeting the deadline.
